Gornitzky
A bilingual WordPress site for one of Israel's oldest commercial law firms, established 1938, with a continuously published feed of deal representations.
Gornitzky (GNY) is an Israeli law firm established in 1938, specialising across all areas of commercial law. A brand statement opens the page, and the first content section below it is News & Publications: a running record of the transactions and litigation the firm is handling.
That put the content model at the centre of the build. Deal representations, publications, practice areas and people are separate content types that reference each other, so publishing a single representation surfaces it on the homepage, in the relevant practice, and on the profile of every lawyer credited on it. The whole site runs in both English and Hebrew.
- Bilingual English and Hebrew
- Deal representations as structured content
- Cross-referenced people and practices
- Firm history since 1938
Challenges
-
01
A homepage section that is never static
News and publications sit at the top of the page and change constantly. The listing had to stay fast and well-ordered as the archive grows, and remain legible when several long deal titles land on the same day.
-
02
Long-form deal titles in a tight layout
Representation titles run to a full sentence and cannot be truncated without losing their meaning. The listing type and spacing were set so a long title still reads cleanly instead of being clipped.
-
03
Cross-referenced practices and people
Every representation credits lawyers and practice areas. Modelling those as real relationships means one publish action populates every related listing, with no manual cross-linking for a firm publishing continuously.
-
04
Bilingual across the whole archive
The site serves English and Hebrew, so direction changes affect not just the chrome but every publication listing, filter and search result.
